It is the first question almost every pilgrim asks, and the honest answer is that a good Umrah price is a fair price for what you actually receive — not simply the lowest number. Two packages advertised at very different prices can be worlds apart in hotel distance, flight timing and what is included. Here is what really moves the cost.
1. The season you travel
Timing is the single biggest factor. Ramadan — especially the last ten nights — is the most sought-after and therefore the most expensive time to perform Umrah. School holidays are also busy. Travel outside these windows and the same package can cost significantly less, with closer hotels available for the same budget.
2. How close your hotel is to the Haram
Distance to the Masjid al-Haram is where most of the price difference sits. A room you can walk to the Haram from in a few minutes commands a premium; a comfortable hotel a little further out (with transport where needed) costs less. At Travel Value we grade every hotel by walking distance and state it plainly, so you are comparing like with like.
3. Your flights
Airline, routing and how far ahead you book all affect the fare. Direct flights and peak-season dates cost more; a little flexibility on dates or a one-stop routing can reduce the total noticeably. Because we issue tickets ourselves, we can find the best available fare for your package rather than leaving flights to chance.
4. Group size and package tier
Travelling as a family or group usually lowers the per-person cost through shared rooms and group fares. The tier you choose then sets the rest:
- Economy — best value; comfortable hotels a short transfer from the Haram, longer stays.
- Standard — our most popular; 4-star hotels close to the Haram, guided Ziyarat included.
- Premium — 5-star hotels within walking distance, full-board meals and priority handling.
You can compare all three tiers side by side on our Umrah packages page.
What is always included
Whatever your budget, every Travel Value Umrah package includes Umrah visa processing, return flights, hotel accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, and transfers. There are no hidden add-ons — the quote you approve is the price you pay.
How to get the best value
- Book early — the closest hotels and best fares go first.
- Be flexible on dates where you can — even a week's shift can change the price.
- Travel as a group — shared rooms and group fares lower the per-person cost.
- Compare like with like — always check hotel distance and inclusions, not just the headline number.
