The best time to visit Dubai (and when to save)

Weather, crowds and prices through the year — so you can pick the window that suits your family and your budget.

Updated January 2026 7 min read Destinations

The best time to visit Dubai is from November to March, when the weather is pleasant for outdoor sightseeing, the beach and desert safaris. Summer (June–August) is very hot but offers the lowest hotel prices, with most attractions indoors and air-conditioned.

Dubai is a year-round destination, but the experience — and the price — changes a lot with the season. Here is how to choose your window.

November to March — the peak (and the nicest weather)

These are the best months to visit Dubai. Daytime temperatures are comfortable, evenings are cool, and everything outdoors is at its best: the beaches, the desert safari, rooftop dining and outdoor attractions. This is also when big events and the Dubai Shopping Festival fall, so hotels are busier and prices higher. Book early for the best rates.

April & October — the shoulder season

Spring and autumn sit between the extremes: warmer than winter but not yet punishing, with prices easing off the peak. If you want good weather with slightly smaller crowds and better value, these months are a smart compromise.

June to August — hot, but cheapest

Dubai summers are intense, regularly above 40°C. The upside is that this is the cheapest time to visit, and Dubai is built for it — malls, indoor theme parks, aquariums and water parks are all air-conditioned. For a budget-focused family trip centred on indoor attractions, summer can genuinely make sense.

How long to stay

Four to seven nights suits most travellers: enough for the headline sights (Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, the Palm), a desert safari, some shopping and a theme park or two, without rushing. See our Dubai destination guide for what to include.

Tips to plan a great-value Dubai trip

  • Travel in the shoulder months for a balance of weather and price.
  • Book flights and hotels early for winter travel — demand is high.
  • Bundle it — a package with flights, hotel, visa and transfers is usually better value (and less hassle) than booking piecemeal.
  • Let us handle the UAE visa — we include visa assistance in every Dubai package.
